What is HomeCare and what does it cover?
The main aim of HomeCare service is to reach out to those patients who cannot physically visit our centres. The following services are covered under HomeCare:
- Complete Diabetes Care at Home as per ADA (American Diabetes Association) guidelines, Video consultation with the Specialists & investigations blood and urine tests, foot and retinal screening.
- Assessment, management and coordination of care for acute medical conditions
- General Physical Examinations & Wellness checks
- Transition of care from Hospital to Home
- Saline Drip and antibiotics at home
- Chronic Disease Management
- Wound Evaluation and Management
- Vaccination services
Is there any App for HomeCare? Is it mandatory to download the APP?
There is an IDEA CLINICS app but it is not mandatory to download. However, we encourage using our app for continuity of care.
How is HomeCare different from ConnectCare (teleconsultation)?
– Teleconsultation using IDEACLINICS app happens through a voice or video call, and later the patient receives a prescription on their device. It does not involve a physical examination and is more suited for follow-up patients previously examined at our centres.
– Homecare is a step further than teleconsultation. A team physically visits the patient at their home and the specialist doctor connects with patient on video-call. It is suited for both new and existing (follow-up) patients
How do I book an appointment for Home Care?
The HomeCare service is currently only available in the vicinity of IDEACLINICS branches in Hyderabad. To book an appointment, click: Book Individual Appointment I Book Group Appointment or call 8008 166 166
What do you mean by Individual Appointment and Group Appointment?
Individual appointment: When you are booking an appointment for only one patient.
Group appointment: When you are booking an appointment for a group of people in the same location. Group appointment service can be availed for minimum 2-4 numbers of patients and comes with 10-25% discount overall.
Are the charges different for Group Appointment and Individual Appointment?
The charges for individual appointment or group appointment vary based on the distance from nearest branches whether with radius of 10 km or more. Please check with our team.
Is this service available for people across all ages?
Yes. However, priority is given to elderly and people with mobility issues.
Can I seek homecare for emergency care?
No, emergency eye care is not covered under the HomeCare service at IDEACLINICS. We manage minor illnesses and can support with saline drip and antibiotics etc.
A routine Diabetes Care at Home service takes about an hour. In certain cases where there is a need for further support when the process may take longer.

Is any preparation needed from my end before the IDEACLINICS team visits my home?
The patient needs to be comfortably seated and be ready with all medications and previous health records for our team to document. There may a need to be in a closed room where the lights can be dimmed to take eye (retinal) photos.
I am not an existing patient of IDEACLINICS, can I still avail this service?
Yes. If you are a new patient at IDEACLINICS, you can still avail the HomeCare service – provided your home falls within the above-mentioned coverage area.
Will this service be available on all days? What are the timings?
HomeCare service is available from Monday to Saturday – 08.30am to 5.00pm
If I want to reschedule or cancel my appointment, is it possible?
Yes. It is feasible to reschedule or cancel the appointment. Cancellation needs to be done a day prior to the scheduled appointment to avail the refund.
Will I be provided any medical reports at the end of the session?
Yes. The link to download your medical report will be shared with you on your listed email id/mobile number after the check-up is completed and can also be assessed on our app.
