Diabetes Mellitus or Type 2 Diabetes is a disease of the endocrine system where your body is unable to utilize the sugar formed in it. Every cell in our body needs sugar for its normal function. Insulin is the hormone that takes the sugar into the cells. If there is less insulin produced by the body or if the body does not respond to the insulin, then the blood sugar level rises .This person is then known as a diabetic.

There are 2 types of Diabetes:

  • Type 1 Diabetes where there is no Insulin produced in the body.
