Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that can cause irregular periods, acne, extra facial hair, or hair loss from the head. PCOS is a common reason for infertility. Most women with PCOS are overweight though this condition can also happen in others with normal weight. 

Normally the ovaries produce very small amounts of male hormone called Testosterone. However, in women with PCOS, the ovaries produce too much testosterone.
